Cost Savings

Ways to Lower Your District’s Cost

Your district may be able to reduce the total cost of attending through early registration, eligible reimbursements or full-board attendance incentives.

MDE Training Reimbursement

Many Board Member Certification (CBA) classes qualify for reimbursement through the Michigan Department of Education.

Local districts may receive up to $100 per qualifying class, per board member, helping offset the cost of continued board development.

Whole Board Registration Rebate

Boards that attend ALC together may qualify for a rebate equal to one full conference registration. This opportunity supports full-board learning and helps districts bring shared knowledge back to the board table.

Available to boards whose members register for and attend the full conference in person. Rebate approval and reimbursement occur after the event.

Member Assistance Fund

Districts experiencing financial hardship may apply for support through MASB’s Member Assistance Fund when cost is a barrier to accessing MASB services or events.

Individual board members may apply separately for 50% off eligible member training, up to $250. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
