Getting Started
Each specialty certification requires completion of
Level 1,
plus the courses listed below. Leadership Certification
also requires attendance at the Annual Leadership Conference.
Become a more effective advocate for your district and community. Develop your understanding of public opinion, the legislative process and grassroots advocacy.
Build stronger connections with your community. Develop skills to communicate in difficult situations, work with the media, gather feedback and use what you learn.
Use data to inform decisions and support student success. Learn to interpret information, monitor progress and connect district goals with measurable results.
Build confidence in overseeing your district’s finances. Strengthen your ability to understand financial reports, evaluate budgets and plan for long-term district needs.
Strengthen your leadership through practical governance, ethical decision-making and strategies for building consensus. Apply what you learn to the challenges your board faces.
Additional Requirement
Attend the
Annual Leadership Conference
on Friday and Saturday as part of the Main Conference.
