The financial position of a school district is disclosed annually in a year-end financial report prepared by an independent auditor. The major purpose of this process is to determine if the financial statements submitted for audit have been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Learn how to interpret key components of your district’s audit report in order to deepen your understanding of this important financial document that is presented to the public. As the public, legislature and media call for greater accountability and transparency of district finances, this course will help you be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.

Please Note: It is strongly recommended that attendees have already completed CBA 103 before signing up for this course in order to have an understanding of school finance fundamentals and to maximize your learning experience.
