On behalf of the MASB Staff and Board of Directors, we wish you a restful holiday season and a wonderful start to the New Year! The MASB office will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 2, 2026, and will reopen on Jan. 5. We look forward to working with you in 2026!
If you are registered for the 2026 NSBA Advocacy and Equity Institute in Washington, D.C. join MASB for our Michigan hosted events. Preregistration is required.
We will be having two Michigan specific events for our Advocacy Institute delegates:
Michigan Welcome Event on Sunday, February 1 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Chinatown Room at the Marriott Marquis Washington Hotel. Advocacy and Equity Institute delegates will be briefed on the issues the Institute will focus on and how they specifically pertain to Michigan. It will also provide the opportunity to meet each other and go over any final details and questions as to events. The event will end in time for the delegates to attend the opening session of the Institute. As in past years, there will be a charge of $65 per person for this event to cover the cost of the breakfast and room.
Michigan Senate Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, February 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at 902 Hart Senate Office Building. We have invited Senator Gary Peters and Senator Elissa Slotkin to join us during this event. This meeting provides a forum for our Senators to present their views and positions on federal education issues and other hot topics and for questions by our delegates. MASB covers the cost of the breakfast. Registration for this breakfast is not required.
