$2,500 Grant Available to Educators: SET SEG Foundation Education Excellence Awards

Nov 4, 2024, 12:00 AM by SETSEG

For over 30 years, the SET SEG Foundation, partnering with the Michigan Association of School Boards, has awarded $2,500 to Michigan public schools, districts, and ISD programs to continue their positive influence on their students and community.  Once again, ten Education Excellence Awards will be granted to recognize and celebrate innovative teaching solutions across the state.

Award winners are original programs that change lives and impact students’ futures. Whether it is district- or teacher-led, or even student initiated, programs showcasing innovative techniques that better their school and community are top contenders.

The winning programs must demonstrate growth in one or more of the following categories:

  • Education (STEAM and Literacy)
  • Social Responsibility
  • Mental and Behavioral Health Awareness and Prevention
  • Community Impact
  • And More!

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Your program must be deployed/in operation during 2024
  • Your program must take place within a public or intermediate school district in Michigan
  • Districts that have won in the past are eligible if the criteria above is met

Ten winning schools will each receive $2,500 to expand their programs, a commemorative trophy, and an Education Excellence Award road sign.  Traditionally, SET SEG has presented awards onsite during district assemblies, board meetings or special events.
