Check out a General Session Preview for the Annual Leadership Conference

DashBoard, Oct. 5, 2016

Justin Jennings has spent years motivating and inspiring students to get out of their comfort zone and not accept low expectations in their lives. After a career as a professional athlete he has transformed his life and career, and is now a sought-after life coach with clientele including superintendents of schools and a vice president of the largest shoe manufacturer in the world, just to name a couple.

With his charming and fun personality, Justin connects with his audience instantaneously and delivers content that is sometimes hard to accept in a nonthreatening manner. His presentation includes plenty of audience participation and covers themes that can be used in everyday work and life situations.

A struggling reader during his young life, Justin later overcame this obstacle to become a recognized leader in education. In January 2017 he will become one of the youngest superintendents in the country at age 42.

Justin’s General Session will educate and entertain, while repeatedly proving perseverance is necessary for lasting personal and professional lives. You’ll hear how he transitioned from a struggling reader to a doctoral candidate, and then from a classroom teacher to a turnaround principal to one of the most sought-after leaders in the education landscape.

To hear Justin’s story, register today for the 2016 Annual Leadership Conference, Nov. 10 – 13, at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. He will speak on Friday afternoon.
