NSBA’s annual Advocacy Institute will take place Jan. 24 – 26, 2016 in Washington D.C. at the Marriott Marquis. The sessions held during these three days will help participants develop a keen understanding of why effective advocacy requires strong collaboration across policy, media and judicial spectrums.

This year’s conference will include keynote speeches from political commentator Cokie Roberts and Dr. Larry Sabato, the Director of Center for Politics at the University of Virginia. Other sessions include discussions on the recent enactment of the Every Student Succeeds Act and breakouts on school board priorities facing Congress. Finally, the conference wraps up with an address from the incoming Secretary of Education John B. King Jr.

On Tuesday morning, we will once again be hosting a Senate breakfast for our delegates and have invited Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters to address the group. Following the breakfast, you will be able to meet with members of Congress and their staff. Be sure to make your appointment in advance.

Register today and help keep Michigan’s delegation as one of the largest in the country at this conference.
