To address urgent challenges and drive continuous improvement effectively, school board members, superintendents and school leaders must develop strong school board/superintendent teams. Come learn more about establishing a unified school leadership team that can efficiently meet demands, avoid conflict and respond to the ever-changing educational environment.

The Cost of Doing it Right: A Deep Dive Into What Adequate Funding Means in Michigan

The School Funding Research Collaborative set out to collect accurate information on what it truly costs to educate Michigan’s students and how the state can better serve all students—regardless of their location, circumstances or challenges. Join the conveners of the study, community leaders, and industry experts in this session for analysis of the findings as well as next steps to move forward.

Presenters: Dianne Byrum, Partner, Byrum & Fisk Communications; Ron Koehler, Assistant Superintendent of Organizational and Community Initiatives, Kent ISD; Jessica Thomas, Consent Agreement Consultant, Royal Oak Charter Township and Birmingham Public Schools Trustee; and Elizabeth Welch, Attorney and East Grand Rapids Public Schools Trustee

Billing Policy: A $25 fee will be added per attendee to any balance due as of the date of the class/event.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be in writing. A $25 cancellation fee will be charged for any and all cancellations. Substitutions are accepted in lieu of a cancellation. No refund one week from event.

MASB reserves the right to CANCEL all classes with fewer than 15 participants. Classes may be rescheduled due to weather. Registration and attendance at, or participation in MASB's conferences, CBAs and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to MASB's use and distribution of the attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events.
