The morning session will feature a series of briefings for school board members from subject matter experts on key topics that will help to inform your decisionmaking. Topics include Special Education, Changes to Student Assessments, Transportation Trends and Tips, School Finance Issues and Options, and Local ESSA Plans.

The safety of a district’s students, staff and visitors is always a factor when it comes to any decision being made by a school board. In this timely session, a former law enforcement officer and school resource officer who now works with Missouri's Center for Education Safety will break down what's happening in school safety throughout the country and what school board members need to know and do to make your schools safer for students.
