Superintendent Candidates

New! Superintendent-Board Profile Matching
MASB is excited to introduce a new service aimed at better matching superintendent candidate needs with that of the district. Candidates, or people who may be interested in a superintendent position in the future, should complete their candidate profile. This information will then be matched against current superintendent vacancies across the state, and those candidates who match the district's profile by a minimum average of 85 percent will be notified and invited to apply. Interested candidates who don't meet the 85 percent match are still welcome to apply. Also, candidates who indicated they aren't interested at this time won't be sent notifications of matches. What our members say about us:

"The success of our search and the spirit of teamwork represented uncommon value for consulting services. The fees charged by MASB are modest in exchange for the return in terms of public/board trust which carries over into other projects. An under-appreciated observation on my part is that the process offers a fair and level playing field for all candidates, which alone may encourage some to apply."

"Your workshops provided valuable skills and confidence for our members in screening and interviewing candidates. The recruitment process provided the board with a number of qualified, potential candidates for this position."

"I would like to extend our gratitude for all of your help in the process of the search for our new superintendent . . . The process you outlined made all parties comfortable. You always showed remarkable professionalism during all of your presentations and were always fully prepared. We would be happy to recommend you to any district considering your services in the future."

"Your recommendations were intelligent and experienced, and ensured the legality of our entire superintendent search process. Your professional demeanor and easy accessibility were definite assets in addressing the board's questions during the search, resulting in a smooth and timely process. I highly recommend Michigan Association of School Boards in the conduct of school superintendent searches."
